Brant Wildlife Festival, British Columbia

The 2020 Brant Wildlife Festival theme is Sea, Stream & Forest, and runs from March 21 – April 19, 2020.

The festival celebrates nature, particularly Brant geese as they rest and feed on the shores of Parksville and Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.  For a full schedule of events during the month, see www.brantfestival.bc.ca.

For 16 years the Brant Wildlife Festival was spearheaded by the Mid Island Wildlife Watch Society. Over time, the society was challenged to secure the financial and human resources necessary to organize and operate the festival. In June 2006, the members dissolved the society and transferred the assets to The Nature Trust of British Columbia.

The Nature Trust of British Columbia is working with local community groups and volunteers to present the 2020 festival. The festival would not be possible without the generous support of the City of Parksville, Mid Island Co-op., and Town of Qualicum Beach, as well as local event sponsors and volunteers.
