Millersylvania State Park

Black Hills Audubon Society has not hosted a field trip to Millersylvania in several years. It’s time to return! The park, 903 acres in area, has miles of paths through old-growth conifer forest. Look for native woodland birds and perhaps some early migrants. Deep Lake may host diverse waterfowl. The main target will be woodpeckers, but we should see a number of other birds on the lake and on the walk.
Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the main parking lot. Please note that a Discover Pass is required to park.
In March, the paths will undoubtedly be wet and muddy, so wearing good boots is a must! As usual, dress for the weather and bring binoculars.
