All chapter work is done by volunteers for whom we are very grateful. If you are interested in volunteering in something other than the opportunities listed below, please contact Kathleen Snyder ksnyder75@nullgmail.com or Rachel Hudson lightningdash09@nullyahoo.com.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Our website would love to post photos from some of our member photographers. We are looking for people to share up to 10 special bird photographs to add to our website gallery. We need the species names as well as the location of the shot. Contact Rachel Hudson lightningdash09@nullyahoo.com.
WEBSITE REVIEWER: If you don’t mind sitting in front of a computer and perusing a website, we could use your help with keeping our website relevant, accurate, and functioning. Just look at the content, try the links, and let our webmaster know when you find something that needs attention. This is important as we transition back to live events after being virtual for the past year plus. Contact Kathleen Snyder ksnyder75@nullgmail.com.
MOBILITY CHALLENGED PERSON: Our chapter is working on an ADA accessible webpage to publicize birding locations within our 3 county area that accommodate birders with limited mobility. Can you, or someone you know, assist? If you use a mobility scooter or wheelchair and can travel to various trailheads in Lewis, Mason, or Thurston counties, you can assess locations for our website. You do not need to be a birder – just someone who likes to get outside. Contact Kathleen Snyder ksnyder75@nullgmail.com.
WRITE FOR THE ECHO: We need more writers of articles for The Echo, our monthly newsletter, especially this summer when many of our regular writers are taking a vacation. Don’t worry about producing the perfect story — we are happy to edit your draft. Deadline for each issue is the 24th of the preceding month. Hope to hear from you before July 24th!
