Thank you, Black Hills Audubon Board and members for the 2022 Volunteer of the Year Award. It has been a great honor to represent our chapter for over twenty years in its effort to protect and conserve critical wildlife habitat primarily in beautiful Thurston County.
Our numerous successes have resulted because of the talented and dedicated Black Hills Conservation Committee. I am so grateful for their insights and support. I would like to also recognize the invaluable groundwater science provided by Jim Mathieu, the hydrogeologist who has helped us achieve better mitigation in our challenges for environmentally sound development.
Threats continue to loom over our unique glacial prairies and associated wetlands. Thank you for your past support. We look forward to your continued commitment to wildlife, especially birds
In great appreciation.
