Black Hills Audubon Society signed a letter urging re-consideration of modifications to Roadless Rule protections in Tongass National Forest in Alaska. Those modifications would open up mining and logging in vast areas of the forest. On June 11 the Biden administration announced it will begin the process of reviewing and possibly reversing part or all of the changes made under the previous federal administration.
