Black Hills Audubon would like to give a shout out to Will Beattie who arranges speakers for our monthly programs. Given the restrictions to our in-person meetings during COVID-19, it has been one of the few benefits that our speakers can Zoom with us from just about anywhere. We have had an amazing variety of high quality programs during the last 10 months and that has been the result of Will doing a fabulous job of arranging them.
The recordings of these programs are available on our website https://blackhills-audubon.org/speaker-series/ We have reached a saturation point of storing these videos so we are now deleting the oldest one when a new one is posted. The May program on the Emperor Penguins of Antarctica was especially compelling – involving real hardship on the National Geographic expedition as well as attacking leopard seals and singing Weddell seals. The photography is stunning. If you weren’t able to join us for this program in May, please find time to watch the recording.
