Talkin’ Birds focuses on avian topics and environmental issues, and advocates for the health of our planet. Listeners are from all over the US (and the world), with more than 14,000 tuning in to each show.
Each week there is a special guest from the birding community to talk about an interesting bird-related topic. Recent guests have included:
– Lianne Koczur from Alabama Audubon (on Show #813), describing their shorebird monitoring projects on the Alabama Gulf Coast;
– Liz Clayton Fuller (on Show #815) encouraging folks to get into nature journaling and art
– Corina Newsome (on Show #820), sharing some of her research findings about Seaside Sparrows.
You can learn more about the show, and hear past episodes, at talkinbirds.com. There is a Facebook page, too, with more than 18,000 followers, and an Instagram account. The more people that can be educated and inspired about birds, the better for our environmental work.
