Several members of Black Hills Audubon joined together for a new book club November 16th. We discussed David Sibley’s tome, “What It’s Like to be a Bird: From Flying to Nesting, Eating to Singing—What Birds are Doing and Why”. We all contributed facts and anecdotes from the book and thoroughly enjoyed Sibley’s amazing true-to-life pictures throughout.
Our next book, “Birding Without Borders”, is about Noah Strycker’s record-setting big year. Strycker went on a “Big Year” in 2015, traveling to 41 countries and becoming the first person ever to see half the world’s 10,000 bird species in one year. We will meet via Zoom on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:00 PM, and anyone is welcome to join us. Let us know by December 31st if you wish to join us, at cjm1226@nullcomcast.net.
Happy reading!
