Enhance Bird Habitat and Capture Carbon
By Suzanne Wilson
For the second year, BHAS is offering native tree seedlings for non-commercial use, free of charge, and ready for planting during the coming winter. Douglas-fir, western red cedar, red alder, and black cottonwood can be ordered now. Other tree species may be obtainable if requested. Please order by September 1, 2023. There is no minimum requirement, and you can request up to 240 seedlings. The order link is here: https://forms.gle/yprRo9buWAeVrJkw9 You can also contact treeseedlings2023@nullgmail.com, or leave a message at 360-790-8439. Black Hills Audubon Society will cover the cost of tree protectors.
The Carbon Capture Foundation provides these native bare-root seedlings across western Washington to sequester carbon and enhance wildlife habitat. For maximum ecological impact, please share this message with those that would be good stewards.
Even one tree planted makes a positive difference.
