Winter Birding in Mason County

Come explore Mason County with water birds and shorebirds in mind.  Mary Hrudkaj, Mason County resident and experienced field trip leader, will share with us some of her favorite birding spots.  Winter birds we hope to see include two species of loon, grebe and merganser, Pigeon Guillemot, various ducks, American Dipper plus (fingers crossed) Mountain Quail.  We will carpool from the Mud Bay Park and Ride at 7 am and meet Mary at Theler Wildlife Refuge. Trip is limited to 12; registration required with Kathleen Snyder, ksnyder75@nullgmail.com or 425-971-8021.  Bring a sack lunch, cash for gas, and spotting scope if available.  Expect to bird until mid-afternoon unless the weather interferes.
