This is part of Audubon Washington’s Audubon Around the Sound: A Puget Sound coastal resilience tour featuring speakers, field trips, and community events aimed at bringing conservationists together to protect Puget Sound’s coastal habitats in a changing climate.

About the speakers:

Noah Linck is a Washington Sea Grant Hershman Fellow at the Washington Department of Ecology. His focus at Ecology is working with coastal communities across Washington State on coastal hazards and climate resiliency. Noah has a master’s degree from the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs from the University of Washington and a B.S in conservation biology from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Ecology, Noah worked as a park ranger for Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Olympic National Park.

Jay Krienitz is the Coastal and Ocean Management Unit Supervisor at the Department of Ecology. Jay has been in natural resources conservation for over 25 years and began his position at Ecology in July 2023, managing a growing team who conduct coastal and ocean policy and management work through Ecology’s Coastal Zone Management Program and The Marine Waters Planning & Management Act authorities. Jay has worked in conservation in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, British Columbia, and the unceded territory of the Nuxalk First Nation.
