Mountain Bird Festival, Ashland, Oregon

It is a pretty long drive south, but the Mountain Bird Festival will afford you an opportunity to see birds in an area and ecosystem very different from Western Washington. Plus, there are Ashland’s other myriad enticements to enjoy! The festival will offer guided birdwalks to some of the most beautiful and biologically diverse landscapes of the Klamath-Siskiyou Bioregion. Target birds will include Mountain Quail, dancing Western and Clark’s Grebes, Black Terns, Great Gray Owls, Calliope Hummingbirds, White-Headed Woodpeckers, and Olive-sided Flycatchers.
