LBA Woods Bird Walk

Learn about the birds in an urban forest – the LBA Woods. This is a good time to see recent migratory arrivals from the south. We should see warblers, flycatchers, finches, grosbeaks and Swainson’s thrushes as well as hawks and young birds emerging from their nests.
Meet at the LBA Park small parking lot, near the shelter and tennis courts. To reach the small lot turn onto Morse-Merriman off Boulevard and turn right onto Amherst which dead ends into the park.
The walk will cover around two miles on forest trails and take us through the forest and shrublands.
