Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Date: Saturday, March 30th

Time: 8:00 AM

Meeting Place: At the Western-most part of the parking lot in Tumwater located at (46.9961944, -122.8855000).

Leader: Lin Stern

Description: Pioneer Park is an incredible system of trails venturing through a variety of habitats. This will be a welcoming walk for birders of all ability levels. The area provides habitat to numerous bird species and opportunities for good looks.

The trails are flat and gravel-covered. We will likely walk about two miles through forest, orchard, and riparian habitat.

There is a bathroom at the start, though it is across the sports field. Bring plenty of water and binoculars. Loaner binoculars can be reserved on the Black Hills Audubon website.
