Field Trip to Mission Creek Nature Park

Description and Targets: This will be a beginner-friendly outing. We will be looking and listening for spring migrants.

Trail information: Our walk will be about 2 miles, on park trails and neighborhood streets. 

Directions and parking: Meet at the San Francisco St. entrance. Street parking available.

Other information:  

There are no restrooms onsite.

This walk is not wheelchair accessible.

The San Francisco St. Bakery is just down the street.

Bring: Binoculars and a field guide if you want one. Merlin Bird ID is a great phone app for identifying birds. I also suggest a hands-free pack for water, snacks, and personal items.

COVID Guidelines:

• Participants agree to follow current Washington Phase Covid-19 guidance. They must stay home if they have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, or new loss of taste or smell.
• We are unable to accommodate unvaccinated participants.
• Use of a facemask is an individual decision
• Participants must agree to these guidelines concerning COVID-19.

Dress for the conditions and for a slow walking pace; dull natural fabrics are more bird-friendly than bright synthetics.
