Downtown Ducks

Join Burt Guttman for his annual quest for winter birds in downtown Olympia. This trip is especially oriented toward beginner birders, but all interested folks are welcome. There may be many kinds of ducks, geese, grebes, and the occasional swan or loon possible, as well as passerines in the trees and shrubs. Meet at Marathon Park at Capital Lake, dressed for the weather, with binoculars and water and snacks as needed. This field trip often includes Tumwater Historical Park and Percival Cove and sometimes visits to lower Budd Inlet, depending on where the birds are hanging out.
