Birds of Kruger and Kalahari National Park (South Africa / Botswana) – Cori Halverson

February 14, 2019 @ 7:00 pm-9:00 pm

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Come join us for an evening of enjoyment with Cori Halverson. Cori, a member of Black Hills Audubon, will show photos from her May 2018 birding trip to South Africa where she visited Kruger National Park and Kgalagadi Trans-frontier Park. Cori’s photos were taken with a D40 Nikon camera with a Tamron lens. She is retired from commercial fishing and joined long-time wildlife-guide friends for an amazing time in South Africa.

Kruger National Park, in the northeast of South Africa, is one of the largest national parks in the world, with an area of 7,523 square miles. The diverse fauna includes the ‘big five’ mammals (lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and Cape buffalo) and 517 bird species.
