Birding Trip to Pioneer Park

Birding at the Pioneer Park
Date: Sunday, 11 December 2022. Meet at 9 AM and plan around two hours for the walk.
Location: Pioneer Park, 5801 Henderson Blvd SE, Tumwater. Meet in the far end of the parking lot. Look for people with scopes and binoculars.

Description: Pioneer Park features both a mixed deciduous/conifer riparian area and productive open space/edge habitat around the sports fields. We’ll look for our favorite local winter species, but this park has also proven this year to be a solid migrant trap, so we’ll be on the lookout for unusual sparrows and songbirds!
The trail is flat. A bathroom is available near the parking area. Pace 1, Terrain B, about 2 mile in length.
