Birding trip to KGY/North

Birding trip to KGY/North Point, Olympia + Squaxin Park (if it’s slow at North Point)

When: November 27, 2022 8-11am

Description: The walk starts from the parking lot, along the beach to KGY and then back to Swantown.  High tide 8:58am, very high 16.1′. There should be lots of ducks, gulls, and cormorants; hopefully some grebes and alcids.

Nearest bathroom is at the Olympia Farmers Market.

Location: Meet at parking lot just north of Swantown Marina boat launch on Marine Drive NE, Olympia. Look for people with scopes and binoculars.

Parking: Lots of parking.

What to bring: Binoculars and a field guide. Water and snacks. Warm clothing and footwear, rainwear (it is November).
