Birding Cranberry Lake

March 25, 2017 @ 9:00 am-11:00 am

Cranberry Lake Tree Farm is 440+ acres of working multi-age forest surrounding a pristine 200+ acre lake. This is a working tree farm and has a new boardwalk, shelter, and toilet facilities. These hundreds of acres of wood and water are home to eagles, loons, bears, trumpeter swans, osprey, heron, beavers, cougars, and more! Expect to see spring migrants, waterfowl, and woodpeckers. Meet on the north side of Cranberry Lake at the parking lot to bird with the group for a couple of hours, and then you should feel free to explore the south side of the property by yourself or in the company of others. Or explore the north side again! As always, dress for the weather and bring water and snacks as needed. If you have any questions, contact Mark Biser at mbiser@nullhctc.com or call 360-427-8603.

The address for the Frank Foundation’s Cranberry Lake Tree Farm is 10 East Tintagel Place, Shelton WA 98594. From the main entrance of the Lake Limerick development off of Mason Lake Road , go past the golf clubhouse on St Andrews Drive. After  the crossing Cranberry Creek , turn left on Tintagel Place. Go to the end of Tintagel Place, through the gate and continue on the dirt road following  signs to the shelter.
