StoryTrail Kickoff at Bayshore Preserve

May 18 @ 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Grab the family and join us for a kickoff event on Saturday, May 18th. Pages from the children’s book How To Find a Bird by Jennifer Ward will be posted along the Johns Creek Trail at Bayshore Preserve. The book is designed for children from preschool through third grade, but all can enjoy the vibrant illustrations and story. The StoryTrail is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Drop in any time between 10 and noon to learn the joys of birding through bird-themed crafts, bird bingo, and exploring the story pages along the trail. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. The event is sponsored by Capitol Land Trust, the Shelton Timberland Library and Black Hills Audubon.

If you can’t make the event, the StoryTrail will be posted through August 2024. The Preserve is open dawn to dusk every day.
