We have three new DIY field trip reports for November and more to come in December. Our scouts are doing an amazing job of compiling all the information you need to go outside and explore new locations and revisit old favorites.
Carla Miller scoped out Darlin Creek Nature Preserve which is owned by Capitol Land Trust. This wonderful place isn’t visited by many so is a good destination during COVID-19 times.
Rachel Hudson has introduced us to one of her favorite birding spots – Willapa Hills State Park Trail – located in Chehalis. This remarkable walk has all kinds of avian treats and is well worth a visit.
Anders Price is scheduled to post his report on Kennedy Creek at the end of November. Planning for the tides is the key to see shorebirds and waterfowl; Anders will explain all the particulars.
Keep checking our website because new reports go up about every ten days. If you go to one of our featured locations, we’d love to hear what you find. Please post your own reports on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BlackHillsAudubonSociety/. All previous reports are available on our website as well.
