- Plans are being made for our annual picnic on June 26th. Certain protocols must be followed to conform to the Banquet Permit.
- We now have another storage unit in downtown Olympia. People who are storing BHAS items at their personal homes can move them there.
- The email of our Vice-president was used by a scammer to try bilking gift cards from some of our members. We will make our membership aware of this problem through a mass email and an article in the Echo.
- Two major committee chairs need replacing – Outreach and Echo editor. The Volunteer Coordinators are advertising this.
- The Avian Science Committee reported that the bluebird nest box project is up and running. The monitors are visiting the two sites weekly. Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been good for nesting activities.
- The Purple Martin nesting boxes and the swallow nesting boxes on the Ralph Munro trail were all cleaned out and are now ready for new occupants. This involved 77 nest boxes, a Harbor Patrol boat, and six wonderful volunteers.
