BHAS AUDUBON MEMBER HONORED ON PBS SHOW
Craft in America is a Peabody award-winning series on PBS and has a new segment in their SCIENCE episode that features Chris Maynard. Chris is a long time member of Black Hills Audubon. He carves feathers into intricate art to make their natural beauty more noticeable. His work highlights the patterns and colors of the feathers themselves, inviting the viewer to look and look again. His work is included in collections and publications in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia. Locally one can view his art at Childhood’s End Gallery in Olympia.
Congratulations to Chris on this wonderful achievement.
SCIENCE is now streaming on the PBSApp , pbs.org and craftinamerica.org, and premiering on PBS and YouTube Friday, December 27 at 9pm and 10pm (check local listings).
