Throughout the ages, bird song has inspired poets, essayists, and composers. During this talk, you’ll get to hear examples of some of the world’s most beautiful bird songs as well as snippets of some of the poems and concertos they have inspired; you’ll also have to opportunity to learn about the birds that produce those songs.

BLACK HILLS AUDUBON SOCIETY
(BHAS) is a chapter of the National Audubon Society (see NAS’ newly redesigned website). BHAS represents Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties in the state of Washington. It is an all-volunteer-based, non-profit organization whose 1,300+ members share interests in birds and other wildlife, their habitats, and natural history. Our goals are to promote environmental education and recreation and to maintain and protect our ecosystems for future generations.
We also work with the state Audubon office (Audubon Washington).
BECOME A MEMBER
When you become a Black Hills Audubon member, your membership dollars will be used at a local level and you will also receive the ECHO newsletter. Or if you chose your primary membership to be with National Audubon Society, you will automatically also be a member of Black Hills Audubon Society.
