Attendees are invited to the Post-convention reception from 5:00 – 7:00 pm (presented by Thurston Climate Action Team)
Agenda:
The power-packed program starts with the morning plenary speaker, Aji Piper, who is one of the 21 youth plaintiffs suing the United States Government in a Landmark U.S. Federal Climate Lawsuit. The mid-day luncheon plenary features Jill MacIntyre Witt, who wrote the book Climate Justice Field Manual, a how-to guide for action. State Representative Beth Doglio and Stew Henderson will lead the closing plenary, and the day will wrap up with US Representative Denny Heck sharing his perspective at the post-convention reception.
Participants will have an array of inspiring and energizing sessions to choose from, and will learn how to take personal action on the topics discussed during the convention, which include: sea level rise, renewable energy, energy efficient buildings, engaging youth, electric vehicles, transportation alternatives, government action, birds and climate change, estuaries as carbon sinks, and carbon tax initiatives.
Freshly catered refreshments will be provided by Dillinger’s Cocktail and Kitchens during morning registration, lunch and at the celebratory reception; several networking breaks will take place with organization representatives eager to share their resources; student scholarships are available; and registered volunteers receive half-off registration.
We look forward to seeing you there!
