Wolf Haven and Mima Mounds with Grays Harbor Audubon

June 10, 2016 @ 7:00 am-3:00 pm

$12
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Grays Harbor Audubon proposes a field trip to Wolf Haven that will include a docent-guided tour of Wolf Haven. Black Hills Audubon members are invited to join them. The tour requires a minimum of 10 persons, and the tour costs $12 per person ($10 for seniors). The preliminary plan is to tour Wolf Haven in the late morning, after birding Mima Mounds and other nearby areas as time permits earlier in the day.

Two dates are under consideration: Friday June 10 or Monday June 13. Please contact Judy Taylor at 10sandpipers@nullgmail.com or by phone at 360-591-2463 if you are interested. Please tell her by May 6 which date is better for you or if you can make either date. She will then arrange the docent-led tour depending on which day the required number of people can attend.

The preliminary plan is to meet to carpool at 7:00 a.m. in the northwest corner of the Haggen Supermarket in west Olympia at Black Lake Boulevard and Cooper Point Road S.W. (behind Pier 1 Imports). From there the group would proceed to Mima Mounds or Wolf Haven, based on the time of the Wolf Haven tour. Birding would happen before or after the tour at Wolf Haven.

Bring food and water and equipment as needed and, as always, dress for the weather.
