Dr. Stevan Harrell is a professor emeritus in the School of Anthropology and Environmental and Forest Sciences at the University of Washington. Dr. Harrell spent much of his career focusing on how social and earth scientists can effectively collaborate with local populations to design effective, sustainable local solutions. Geographically speaking, Steve has worked extensively in China, Taiwan, and Washington state, examining resilient systems of our past and present.
