Black Hills Audubon Society Annual Picnic / Birding by Ear

June 14, 2018 @ 5:00 pm

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Come join us for Black Hills Audubon Society’s (BHAS) Annual Picnic.  Meet us at Priest Point Park at the Rose Garden Shelter at 5 p.m.  Instead of a presentation, BHAS will offer one or more “birding by ear” walks.

Since people usually arrive gradually at the picnic rather than all at once, the leaders (led by Sam Merrill), will decide together how to arrange the walk(s).  It will depend on when people arrive, how many people want to participate, the weather, what is going on with bird activity that night, and other things.

After the bird walk(s), participants will be invited to return to the picnic area for dinner and socializing.  If not much is going on with the birds and the walks finish early, there will be more time for socializing.

Black Hills Audubon Society will provide wrap sandwiches, potato chips, and juice, as well as, paper plates, napkins, and serving utensils.

Bring a side dish to share with the group such as salad, hors d’oeuvres, or a dessert and , if you can, please provide your own place setting.
