Backyard Birds: A two-hour course designed for beginners – Shelton

We are excited to announce the date of the Rescheduled Backyard Birds Class in Shelton at the Reed Library. It will be on April 3rd from 1pm to 3pm.

Cost per class is $25.00. Registration is required; contact Deb Nickerson at debranick@nullgmail.com or 360-481-7446 to register.

Kim Adelson, a BHAS Board member and retired college professor who frequently lectures on backyard birds, will teach participants to recognize and identify about 25 bird species commonly found in yards in our area. The birds’ behaviors, preferred habitats, and idiosyncrasies will also be discussed, along with their feeder preferences and the best ways to attract them to yards.
