Puget Sound Bird Fest

The 2023 Puget Sound Bird Fest will kick off Saturday, September 9 with early-morning guided walks offered by the Pilchuck Audubon Society, followed by a full day of activities at the France Anderson Center in Edmonds.  You’ll find artists, vendors, and non-profit organizations in the Exhibit Hall, along with the popular “Kid’s Corner,” featuring hands-on activities for kids of all ages including an owl pellet dissection station.  You’ll also have the opportunity to vote in the annual Bird Fest Photo Contest.

Sunday will be filled with guided walks and other field activities at local parks and birding hot spots in the area, including a Sunday afternoon boat cruise offered by Puget Sound Express.  Many Bird Fest activities are free and open to the public, with most field activities requiring a small fee and pre-registration.

This year, the Photo Contest especially seeks Junior photographer entrants, 17 years old and under.
