Field Trip to LBA Woods – FIELD TRIP FULL; WAIT LIST ONLY

Description: LBA Woods is an urban forest that at this time provides habitat for overwintering
forest birds in the Olympia area.  A variety of mostly flat trails provide opportunities to see birds
in coniferous and deciduous tree habitats.  Dress for the weather, bring binoculars, and prepare
for some mud on trails if it has rained recently.

Meeting location: Meet at 8:30 AM at the small parking lot for LBA Park off Amherst St, which is off
Morse-Merriman Rd in Olympia. Be aware there is the main (large) parking lot a couple of blocks to the
east from Amherst St on Morse Merriman Rd and this is not where we will meet.

Group size is limited to 12 people. You don’t need a Discover Pass since this is an Olympia City
Park.
