Wings Over Willapa

Wings Over Willapa is a celebration of the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge’s many species and diverse habitats.  The festival will offer an amazing array of tours, workshops, and other events  around the Long Beach Peninsula and Willapa Bay.  Events and field trips this year include beach walks to identify shorebirds, kayaking, sunset birding walks, night sky observation, birding on bicycles on the Discovery Trail, nature photography, a barge trip to old growth forest on Long Island, and a wonderful “Nature Play Day” with activities for young and old at Veteran’s Field in Long Beach.  Birders and nature lovers of all kinds will find plenty to do.
