Monitoring Pigeon Guillemots in Puget Sound – Terence Lee

December 12, 2019 @ 7:00 pm-9:00 pm

Come join us for an evening of enjoyment with Terence Lee. Terence Lee works at the Nisqually Reach Nature Center near Olympia.  He co-leads a long-term project that monitors breeding and nesting success of pigeon guillemots in Puget Sound.  He’ll present the results of previous years studies, and preliminary information collected in the summer of 2019.

Terence has worked in the nonprofit community in Olympia as a scientist for the last eight years. He earned a BS in Environmental Science from The Evergreen State College with a focus in conservation and marine biology. He is inspired to use citizen science as a tool to connect people with nature and teach others new ways to appreciate the natural wonders of the world. One of his dreams is that salmon populations up and down the West Coast will be restored, which will lead to healthier societies, economies, and people.
