Black Hills Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC)/Bill Shelmerdine
December 18, 2016
Contact Bill Shelmerdine at georn1 at hotmail.com, or call 360-866-9106 to participate, (either as a counter or a leader). Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to stay in one spot all day, nor participate all day long. Come with us. It’s a lot of fun. Join us for chili afterwards (5 p.m., Temple Beth Hatfiloh, 201 8th Ave SE, Olympia).
The mission of the Bird Count is to identify, count, and record as many different bird species as you see in a particular area in Thurston County. CBC data are sent to National Audubon for analysis. This count is part of a larger citizen science effort led by Audubon chapters throughout the nation.
