Join us Thursday June 8, 2017 at Priest Point Park for the BHAS annual picnic.  Go to Picnic Site 4 on the water side of the park next to the playground and big field.  Enjoy a bird walk at 5 p.m. followed at 6 p.m. by dinner and a program, Increasing Diversity in Conservation Work. The public is welcome. We supply paper plates, serving utensils, wrap sandwiches, and chips. Bring a side dish to share with the group such as salad, hors d’oeuvre, dessert, or bread. Bring your own place setting if you can. BHAS holds a monthly speaker series on the second Thursday of each month (with the exception of March, June, July, and August) at 7 p.m. at Temple Beth Hatfiloh at 8th and Washington in downtown Olympia

Christmas Bird Count

To sign up to count birds or lead a group contact Bill Shelmerdine at 360 866- 9106 or georn at hotmail.com.  Everyone's welcome.   No prior experience is required.  There's a chili feed afterwards at 5 p.m. at Temple Beth Hatfiloh at  201 8th Ave SE, Olympia, WA. You don't have to stay in one spot all day, nor participate all day long.  Join us.  It's a lot of fun.    Christmas Bird Count data are sent to National Audubon for analysis.  Data is used to monitor the status and distribution of bird populations across the western hemisphere.    For CBC leader:
